This tiny country, roughly 1/3 the size of Minnesota has a LOT to offer; great wines, great scenery, great hiking, biking, skiing, a bit of Adriatic coast, Julian Alps, amazing caves and castles. We’re offering our small ‘getaway’ apartment for your ‘explore Slovenia’ base camp. It’s a bright & sunny, fully furnished one bedroom apartment (with living room sleeper sofa); kitchen with all the things; bathroom with combo washer/dryer; two ‘city bikes’; and awesome views! It’s located in Maribor, the 2nd largest city (about the size of Duluth) on the eastern side, 20 minutes from the Austrian border. Travel options are plentiful. Fly direct to Venice, Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and hop a short flight to Ljubljana or Graz (both 90min drives); 3hr50mn drive from Venice; 3hr drive from Vienna-----or take a train. The train station in Maribor is 2 blocks from the apartment. We’ll meet with the successful bidder to help sort out travel possibilities, great things to see and do, and all the details necessary to make this a trip to remember. Length of stay---negotiable.
