July 13-19, 2014 OMD Summer Institute First-Timer Vacation
Join about 600 UUs from all over the district for worship, singing, playing and just enjoying each other's company. Summer Institute is an all-ages camp held at a small Ohio College for 7 days and 6 nights. Activities include worship, theme speaker talks, beer tasting, ultimate Frisbee, tie-dye, body art, theater, choir, small ensembles, nightly pub with open mic, youth coffee house, religious education for children, good food, etc. This auction item covers all expenses (housing, 3 meals a day, activities) for one first-timer to Summer Institute. Vacation in Washington State
Up to four nights lodging for a single person or couple in my home in Olympia, WA, with use of the kitchen and probably a shared meal or two. Kayak in Puget Sound, hike the many trails and boardwalks, or visit the quaint downtown with its many restaurants. Walk the broad ocean beaches (an hour and a half away) for miles, explore Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens, or visit the Olympic Peninsula for beautiful scenery and more camping and hiking options. If cities are more your thing, Seattle is about an hour away, Portland an hour and a half. Lots of museums and beautiful gardens... Dates to be arranged as mutually convenient.
