Bob Egbert is offering to lead a hike on the Catawba Greenway. The Catawba Greenway is the newest edition to the Roanoke Valley Greenway system and Bob is the volunteer who maintains it and helped build a portion of it. It includes portions of the route that Bob used on his daily walk to work at Catawba Hospital. The Catawba Greenway is not flat. It’s a mountain hike with strenuous sections. The complete loop is about four miles, and includes a section of the Appalachian Trail on the top of Catawba Mountain.
