 | The brownest of brown thumbs can grow this biennial (Oenothera) but it should not be grown by everyone. It is an aggressive spreader, which is why I have plants to give away, but it is easy to control by pulling up extra plants. It produces rosettes of leaves the first year and flowers the second when it blooms in May. You will get a clump of rosettes that will yield flowers.
