| GUIDED HIKE SPRING CREEK FOREST | Join Bill Holston on a guided hike to Spring Creek Forest in Garland. Spring Creek is a rare Virgin, Bottomland Climax Forest in Dallas County. Our hike will enter the area of the forest with the oldest largest oaks. In February or early March every year, Spring Creek is home to large colonies of Trout Lilies, the earliest wildflower to bloom in North Texas. Depending on weather conditions, there should be some blooming in the Forest. The hike is on nature all surface trails and will be approximately 1.5 miles on relatively flat and clear trails.
