Village Auto Care is in the heart of Clintonville, next door to Smith's Deli. Tim and his mechanic Casey run a tight ship with great service, honest assessments and even a little fun thrown in (per Tim, they "fix cars, trucks and broken hearts")! Typical experience is that you come to them with an estimate from another facility, and they either do the work for less, or explain exactly what is needed, and why! Can't recommend them highly enough (longtime customer Kitty Jones). 1 1 .00075E7 75 N N N N

Guided Twilight Swamp Hike in the Mating Season (was 6/19/20)
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
It's Big Sexy Time in the swamp for Lightning Bugs and Gray Tree Frogs. You see a few fireflies here and there on any summer night but the vast majority of firefly flashes are concentrated for about a week's time in early to mid-June. It's firefly mating season and there is an EXPLOSION of firefly light. The musical accompaniment is provided hundreds of male Gray Tree Frogs on the make. The firefly show starts at around 9:30 pm and peaks between 10 and 10:30 pm. We will meet in the parking lot at the Wilma Schiermeier, Olentangy River Wetland Research Park, 352 W. Dodridge Street, Columbus, OH and walk the less than one-mile loop with some longer options. There are thousands of starlings roosting nearby and it is not uncommon to see raccoons, bats, and sometimes owls. Flashlights are discouraged but red lights are fine. We can provide red lights for about 10 people and bug spray. 50 36 .00015E7 15 N N N N

Lake House Retreat for UU Women Who Like Book Groups & Hanging Out! (was 10/16)
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
Come deepen your connection with other UU women at Chippewa Lake. We can collectively decide a book (I’m thinking of a biography) to discuss. But don’t forget to relax, eat, drink, swim, kayak, cycle, walk, watch videos, play cards, color mandalas, visit an antique store, a second-hand shop, or the lovely gardens of the community.

Previous years’ experiences have made it clear that it will not be hard for us to find lots of meaningful connections. How often do we really get to talk?

Nancy will arrive Friday, and two nights are included if you want to come then. There is a friendly local bar/restaurant where we can unwind and people watch. Or come Saturday if you don’t want to hurry. There will be lunch, dinner, and breakfast. And any/all activities as above mentioned. Leave Sunday for church or be as lazy as you wish.

Plenty of beds, parking, all you need other than personal stuff.
