UU Values Sunnyhill's resident artist has done it again! She designed a beautiful botanical representation of our new UU Values. Her basket contains a framed 20"x20" poster, 1 ornament, 1 8"x8" framed print (magnetic back and hanging option), and stickers.

Artist Statement: "I drew a botanical version of the Love at the Center concept with a rainbow of flowers growing from the center as a representation of our living principles, and I chose early-70s-style design elements to evoke a time of social progress and change that mirrors our current era.

The flowers in this design were deliberately chosen: a red rose to remind us to center love, an orange tulip signifying Article 2's renewal of our shared values, a yellow dandelion for our resilience in trying times, a green carnation for queer identity, a blue morning glory representing respect for all living things, and the violet lavender to signify our own empowerment."

Fun fact: the UUA has contacted Claire to negotiate an exclusive license for her Love at the Center design!

Or … if you just want to collaborate and bounce an idea off someone with more tech scars than outdated computer cables, he can provide you with a sounding board that has been listening since the 1970’s in the last century.

And....if he can't fix it - you don't pay! :)

Seriously, Bob is better than having a gen-Z-er at home to assist with your tech challenges - he won't eat everything in your fridge or leave his dirty socks under the coffee table (I hope).

Ohiopyle Waterfall Hike & Picnic Ohiopyle State Park is arguably one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful parks, and this is especially true when the mountain laurels are in bloom. On today's 5 ½ -mile loop hike, you'll encounter many gorgeous waterfalls that are hidden from the casual Ohiopyle visitor. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch prepared by G & E after the hike. Some of the trail is strenuous so be prepared for challenging sections with steep climbs and descents. The elevation change is 685 feet. Hikers must be in good physical shape, and able to navigate over rocks, roots, and small creek crossings. The hike itself takes up to 3 hours. We will meet at the trailhead at 10am. Ohiopyle is 1 ½ -hours from the church. We will facilitate carpooling. Raindate June 22. 16 9 000030.0 30 .0003E7 30 6/21/25 10:00 AM

Crafternoons (or mornings!) with Knitter Extraordinaire Have you always longed to learn to knit but never had the time? Do you prefer one on one instruction as opposed to self-teaching from YouTube? Or are you already a knitter but there’s a technique you want to master or a pattern you want to decipher? Spend some time with Sunnyhiller advanced knitter Vivienne Sebelle who is proficient at continental knitting of lace, cables, fair isle colorwork, simple brioche, mosaic knitting, short rows, DPNs & magic loop knitting in the round, sock construction, and garment fitting. She will meet with you twice for approximately two hours each for a total of 4 hours of knitting guidance. The first meeting will include help picking a pattern and a trip to a local yarn shop to select supplies (you are responsible for the costs of patterns and supplies). The second meeting will include hands on instruction and troubleshooting. Vivienne will be happy to send you additional instructional videos and demonstrations outside of these meetings to ensure you complete your project to your satisfaction. We will work together to schedule times that work for both our schedules. 1 0 000080.0 80 .0004E7 40

Pottery Lessons There will be a series of four sessions in my Mt. Lebanon home studio, each lasting approximately 2 hours. The first three sessions will be spaced about one-week apart. First session will be making items on the potter's wheel. The second session will be working with clay slabs and trimming the work from the first session. The third session will be a continuation of slab work to include adding various textures to the clay surface. All work made in the first three sessions will be allowed to air dry before being bisque fired in my electric kiln - this could take a couple of weeks. I will then contact you to come back to the studio and glaze your work using an assortment of my custom studio glazes. After the work has been glaze fired, I will contact you for pickup of your finished pieces. I will work with the winning bidder to establish dates that work for both of us. 1 0 000160.0 160 .0012E7 120
