Geneaology Research Ever wanted to do more research on your family tree? I have accounts with both MyHeritage and Ancestry and would like to help. I am offering 10 hours of genealogy research to the first two bidders. This will include copies of documents I have access to, like census records, marriage license indexes, death records, and the like. My accounts include international databases as well. A caveat, I will try to track down as much as I can, but sometimes there are unavoidable dead ends due to lost or damaged records. I look forward to working with you! 2 0 .0005E7 50

Sailing 101 –Learn the basics about sailing during an evening sailing experience.

No sailing experience required, but this is a very active experience that requires agility and balance. You will need to be able to step on and off a rocking sailboat from a rocking pier. You will need to be able to move around the boat over lines and other obstacles. You will help us launch the boat from Whiskey Island Marina and sail inside the break wall of the Cleveland Lake Erie Shoreline. The boat is a 20 foot open cockpit classic racing sailboat. (See picture)

You may bring one guest.

Launch Time: 6:00 PM
Date to be mutually decided and subject to weather/wind forecast.

Note: There is always some risk when boating on Lake Erie, and the marina and sailing club require a release of liability.

Headbangers’ Ball: Songs with a Conscience Edition I love heavy metal music! And while it has the reputation for having subject matters involving sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, demons and other scary stuff, a significant number of songs tackle more serious issues, such as the horror of war, inequality, racism, and other social matters. These songs range in style from Black Sabbath’s “Planet Caravan” to Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality to Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name Of.” At this event, to take place at the church, I’ll share some of my favorite metal songs with a social conscience, providing some background along the way. Drinks and snacks will be provided. 15 11 .0001E7 10 7/25/26 7:00 PM

Canvass Kickoff Show Viewing Perhaps you’ve heard of SWUU’s legendary Canvass Kickoff Shows of days gone by. Canvass Kickoff Shows were entertainments put on to open SWUU’s yearly kickoff of our canvass for the operating budget. These entertainments were written, choreographed, sung, danced, and performed by SWUU’s very own SWUU Players. My offering at the church is a showing of the 2001 Show, “Space: The Final Frontier.” The show follows a group of “Tariunians” travelling through space, looking for a permanent home. Some of the characters and situations might resemble a certain sci-fi television show. So join me as we revisit the stories of Captian Quirk, Mr. Spank, Dorf, LaFork, and the rest of the crew as they look for a place to call their own. Light snacks will be provided! 70 52 .00005E7 5 5/30/26 7:00 PM

You supply the photo, print, or painting. I'll make a custom wood frame for it. Choose from Maple, Cherry, or Walnut. My framing style is subtle. The beauty comes from the grain of the wood itself. Wildflowers may include sunflowers, spiderwort, milkweed, bergamot, thistle, coneflowers, and goldenrod. The small parking lot is located on Southern Rd., ½ mile south of Rt. 303 in Richfield. This walk will probably be hot in August; sunscreen and hats are recommended.

Spring Ephemerals Wildflower Hike This year we will do a two mile hike in Hinckley Reservation. This loop hike with spur involves a combination of bridle trails and “unofficial” foot trails, with rocks, mud, and a few slippery slopes. There are a couple stream crossings as well. We will take in some tumbling shale runs, waterfalls, and a multitude of the delicate and beautiful wildflowers that bless NE Ohio in the early spring. Your hosts will help with flower discovery and identification. Lift your spirits with Trilliums, Wild Phlox, Spring Beauties, Trout Lilies, Bluets, Cohosh, Anemones, and more. It is our professional opinion that this is the best wildflower viewing location in our area, hands down! Proper footwear is essential, plus ability to scramble and jump.

Sunday, April 19, 1:00PM. Meet in the Ledge Pool parking lot just off Ledge Rd.in Hinckley.

No limit; $12 per person

Dinner and Discussion Dinner And Discussion

Come and enjoy a multi-course vegetarian meal, followed by a spirited discussion. Dinner will be on our patio (weather permitting), overlooking our naturalized backyard of native wildflowers and grasses. Our post-dinner discussion is always thoughtful, with lots of laughter. Past discussion topics include favorite songs, is there such a thing as true love, and are humans moving towards enlightenment?

6 hours of child care in my home Susan is willing take care of up to two children for up to 6 hours in our home. I have lots of toys which our kids enjoyed and we live close to the library, playground, and metroparks, all within walking distance. I also have quiet activities like games, and crafts that my children enjoyed. If your kids like to bake, we can even bake cookies. They can try out our piano if they are musically inclined. I have a dog and two cats, so only people who are comfortable with animals should buy.
The time would have to be arranged with the buyer. You will never find a deal like this one at $10 per hour for an energetic experienced teacher and mom/grammy. You can also split your time up into two different times as long as I am available.
