THE INTERURBAN ERA
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
From Frank Sprague to Henry Ford: Interurbans, especially in Ohio, were a significant means of linking rural communities to the cities. The disastrous epizootic emphasized the need to substitute electric motors for horses. Frank Sprague was the inventor. The interurban was a hybrid: a heavy streetcar but more flexible than a passenger train. But when Henry's Model T was mass-produced and rural roads improved, the interurban network began to collapse. I'm offering an illustrated presentation, at my place. I'll do one or two persons. Dates as arranged. 2 0 .0001E7 10

I took this photo on Bearskin Lake, Boundary Waters, Minnesota. The sun was rising and just beginning to burn the fog off the lake and Cub Island and its silhouetted trees and reflections appeared as if floating in the heavens. It was a cold July morning with the sound of loons in the distance. The fog danced and swirled over the lake disappeared in minutes and the sky turned blue.

Handknit shawls
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
I love to knit. Like, a lot! In fact, I am running out of room to store things. I have a lot of very nice shawls that I just don't have the time to wear. They include many different shapes, sizes, and colors. For this listing, you will get to help select a shawl from my collection that will be yours to keep. For the yarn and time I put into my shawls, this price is a bargain, but it's helping me, too, so let's do it! 10 9 .00045E7 45

Handy Dan Dan will come and fix just about anything within reason. Install a light, ceiling fan, faucet, sink, toilet, or dishwasher? No problem! Repair a broken door handle? Sure!
