Inspired by the movie “Harriet”? Join us on a trip to the new Harriet Tubman National Historical Park in Auburn, NY to find out more about this amazing woman. Accompanied by local Ithacan Kimerly Cornish, a direct descendant of Harriet Tubman, we will have a guided tour of the Visitor’s Center and the Harriet Tubman Home for the Aged and see the house where she lived. We may also visit her grave a short distance away. We will provide transportation to and from the park, the entrance fees, and a picnic lunch for the group. To be offered at a mutually convenient time for all on a Saturday in late Spring 2020 once the weather has warmed sufficiently. Up to 9 people (all ages welcome). Donors: Wendy Wolfe and Alice Churchill.
