Bob Egbert is offering to lead a hike on the Catawba Greenway. The Catawba Greenway is the newest edition to the Roanoke Valley Greenway system and Bob is the volunteer who maintains it and helped build a portion of it. It includes portions of the route that Bob used on his daily walk to work at Catawba Hospital. The Catawba Greenway is not flat. It’s a mountain hike with strenuous sections. The complete loop is about four miles, and includes a section of the Appalachian Trail on the top of Catawba Mountain. The hike, approximately five hours, will begin and end at the Virginia Tech Sustainability Center. Contact Bob if you have any questions prior to bidding.
