About 20 years ago I had a friend show me quickly how to make chords on a piano and improvise around them. Since then I've been fooling people who hear me play thinking that I took piano lessons. I can look up basic chords to most songs and in minutes play a good sounding version of it. I've taught a dozen other people over the years and they're always shocked at how easy it is to learn. I'm NOT going to teach you to read sheet music but instead how to improvise around chords (no previous music experience needed at all.) Bryan Stevenson is the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative. As a lawyer he has dedicated himself to helping the poor, the incarcerated, and the condemned.
