Become a DJ of Knowledge!
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Are you looking for a more personal, intuitive, creative and improvisational approach to understanding your world and yourself? Let me teach you the art of "remixing knowledge" for personal insight and enlightenment. This is a practice I have developed personally and professionally over the past 15 years, threading together experimental poetry, improv theater, hip hop, divination and American Pragmatism. My remix experiences have been featured in museums such as the Phillips Collection and in art fairs such as (e)merge.

In this one-hour session, you'll come with a few significant questions you want to explore and a couple of source texts of personal significance (books, newspaper articles, lyrics to favorite songs, etc). You'll then learn how to rapidly and intuitively pull words or phrases from the sources and remix them into answers to your questions. At the end of the session, you'll be a fully trained DJ of Knowledge able to apply these techniques in your daily life as desired.

I look forward to remixing with you! We can meet for this session wherever you would like.

New in 2018! "Solo" CD by Danny Gotham
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
"Solo" is the followup to "A Good Set," my 2015 CD. I got to thinking about how a typical solo show is two sets, so I recorded another album. I made 10 new tracks (the second "set"), added them to the tracks from "A Good Set" (the first "set"), and thus one CD with all of the tracks. Sundays Two (with Glenn Mehrbach) is the followup to my "Sundays" album. It features both solos (me on guitar and Glenn on piano) and duets, and features two of Glenn's originals, as well as several other selections (hymns, jazz and folk standards) that we have played at the Community Church--in services or special events--over the years. Glenn is one of the finest musicians I know, and this is an album that we both take great pride in. 2 0 000015.0 15 .00015E7 15

"Old Friends" by Danny Gotham
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Old Friends is my second solo CD: there are a lot of songs that I've played and listened to over the years (hence the title; some of these pieces were recorded on earlier albums), and this recording features some of them (Donovan's "Colors"; Hendrix' "Little Wing", among others) as well as a number of newer original mandolincompositions that were inspired by my favorite picking partner, Peter Ostroushko. I worked very hard on this album, and I'm really pleased with the results. 2 0 000015.0 15 .00015E7 15

Luzerne is my first solo CD. It's straightforward, and uncluttered, and has lots of great songs on it. Among the writers: John Lennon, Steve Goodman, John Fahey, and me. Guitarheel is my magnum opus. It is 72 minutes long (whew!) and the twenty cuts on it feature nineteen musical friends. Everything from Hank Williams to Vivaldi to Charlie Parker to George Gershwin to Woody Guthrie to several originals from yours truly. This one also has a twenty page booklet. Sundays is a collection of music that I've performed at my church over the years. It's very, very quiet, simple, short (about one-half as long as "Guitarheel"!), and sweet. This one is mostly solo guitar, and it's designed for quiet times. 2 0 000015.0 15 .00015E7 15

"repast" by Danny Gotham
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
repast is a double CD. I spent about two years on it; it is a special project to commemorate turning sixty and being (more or less) in one piece. I have a huge supporting cast, and the music reflects my eclectic tastes: An original mandolin waltz, a Puerto Rican cuatro piece, Count Basie's "Down for Double", a solo ukulele rendition of "Something", you name it. The one real departure for me on this album are the tracks featuring some good friends doing lead vocals. Thirty-two tracks; about an hour and forty three minutes of music. If "Guitarheel" was my magnum opus, this is a double. A very filling "meal"....Guaranteed. 1 0 000025.0 25 .00025E7 25

Our family has developed quite the hobby of cooking and baking. We even fantasize about running a food truck and/or restaurant. In fact, although it remains fictional, we have already named it. Sadly, the name contains macrons and therefore doesn't show up properly on this webpage, so the top bid will also win the knowledge of the name atop our menu!

Choose your favorite meal (that will feed a family of up to 6 people) from a menu of choices such as chicken tikka masala, pesto salmon pastry, or tofu (or pork) dumplings. Pair it with the dessert of your choice from options such as cherry pie, brownies with coconut pecan frosting, or cookie pops. We will discuss the options and help you decide; then, we will deliver the result to your door!

Date/time can be determined with us & is flexible.
