| The Pull of the Stars | by Emma Donoghue (hardcover). Dublin, 1918: Three days in a maternity ward at the height of the great flu. A small world of work, risk, death, and unexpected love. "Donoghue, a writer of great vitality and generosity, has been drawn repeatedly to the genre of historical fiction, not so much to inhabit or reinterpret the past as to try to fit together its overlooked, missing pieces...Fiction is small solace for history's grief, but it's one way to set the record straight."--The New Yorker | 1 | 0 | .00007E7 | 7 | N | N | N | |||
