The Water and Water Reclamation Facilities Tour returns! Join Kent City Council Members Chris Hook and Heidi Shaffer Bish in a “behind-the-scenes” tour of both facilities in one day with a soup lunch in-between. Meet plant operators and the City Service Director Melanie Baker in this educational and fun (in a geeky kind of way) day. Start at the church at 10 am to carpool to the Water Plant, have lunch at City Hall, and then proceed to the state-of-the-art place where “it” goes! The tours will be over by 2 pm. Children should be 10 years old to take the tour. Youth are especially encouraged! Water is life and clean water is one of the most important services cities offer. Join the Thoele family (Colleen, Silas, Lo and Becky Haines) on March 29, 2026 -Palm Sunday- to sing along with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical Jesus Christ Superstar! We will begin with a potluck style meal at 4:00 PM in Fessenden Hall & then head upstairs to sing our hearts out in the sanctuary during a screening of JCS!
Participants will decide together which version of the musical we will screen together.
Lyric sheets will be provided. Feel free to dress in your biblical best & bring a musical loving friend! Purchase one ticket for an individual or two tickets for a whole family. This is a child friendly event.
