Tonk Party! Simple and fun card game with wine and appetizers
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
Tonk is a very simple card game, easy to learn, similar to rummy. You have 5 cards to start, you draw a card each hand and must put down all your cards to win (in groups of 3), except that if you have 49 or 50 points in your hand right after the deal you win. That’s it! This includes gambling, so you put down an ante each hand (we will use poker chips). At the end of the evening, the top players each get a prize. Includes drinks (alcoholic and other) and hors d’oeuvres. Event for adults. From 18:00 to 22:00 (6 PM to 10 PM).
At the Kilchoer home in Irvine.

Do It Yourself Shakespeare

Polish up your favorite soliloquy or scene or familiarize yourself with a new one. Style points for costume or props. I'm donating four lady finger cactuses. They are a cactus but spines bend toward the plant so you can touch it, pet it and it doesn't want to poke you. They are flowering now and have beautiful tiny little flowers.
As a cactus, water about once a week in summer.
First picture focuses on the flowers.

This plant grows all year around. (Its not a coleus and they tend to die in winter). If you keep it in the shade it stays a deep red. If you put it in the sun it turns pink! It is a plant that will tell you it is thirsty by drooping its leaves.

You can cut it back and keep it compact or let it grow wild.It doesn't care, it just likes to grow!
