Stargazing at the Taylors' Night owls welcome! We've noticed when we're out at night that the heavens are very visible from our front yard, so come join us for the Lyrid Meteor Shower. We'll provide beverages warm and cool, pillows & blankets, lawn chairs, and an assortment of sweet and savory munchies. The Lyrids average 20 meteors per hour, so even if you have trouble staying up that late, you should be able to see several meteors before you nod off. The moon will be directly between earth and sun that night, so it should be a nice dark night.

Pets are fine, too - I'm most experienced with dogs and cats (and love them!), but I can learn how to take care of your other friends on request. Good for one week's worth of services - but does not have to be redeemed all at once; can mix and match days to add up to a week anytime before the next auction. Ceremonial gong and trumpet fanfare Birthday ending in a zero? Anniversary? Graduation? HIgh-priced auction event? Announce the official beginning, or candle blowing, or ceremonial kiss, or grand toast at your important festivities with the striking of a really loud gong and a ridiculously ostentatious trumpet fanfare. Nobody else's party will have such a grand and goofy kickoff (except the other people who buy this service). 3 2 000050.0 50 .00025E7 25

Amish Friendship Bread - Butterscotch/Chocolate Take home a loaf or two of the most delicious sweet bread you've ever had. Made with an Amish Friendship bread starter, this is a butterscotch-flavored bread with dark chocolate chunks. Rich and decadent and perfect with coffee or for a luscious dessert. Bread also comes with a starter and instructions for you to make your own bread (you can make any flavor combination when you bake it yourself, does not have to be butterscotch/chocolate - this recipe is perfect for experimenting). Pet or house sitting in the Blacksburg area For up to one week at a mutually agreed-upon time (could possibly do more than one week)

Prefer not to go more than once a day (although I know some circumstances are special)

Where? inside Blacksburg or within several miles of Blacksburg

Times that I already know I won't be available are either April or May of 2012, and the last 10 days of February, 2012

I'm very familiar with cats and cat boxes.

We don't have a dog. My only experience with dogs is that my husband and I once walked a neighbor's poodle nearly every day for years. However, if you have friendly dogs I can learn to do more than walk them.

I love birds.

Alternatively or as part of pet sitting, could check out your house while you are out of town

Captain's Table Tasting Menu So you've read all 20 of Patrick O'Brian's novels about Captain Jack Aubrey. What next? How about a tasting menu of turn-of-the-(nineteenth)century British seafaring cuisine, featuring items mentioned in the books? Labscouse, frumenty, syllabub, spotted dog, mince pies, toasted cheese, bashed neaps, hardtack, steak and kidney pudding, swordfish soup, grog, little balls of tripe, and leg of mutton (among other things -- scullery mates reserve right to make substitutions) will be served. Millers and bargemen will not. Warning: Not all items will be considered edible by refined, modern palates. 8 0 000040.0 40 .00015E7 15 12/3/11 5:00 PM
