Internet access will be disabled for the day. Leave the cell phones in the cars. Pick and keep the day's berry yield (the peak day in 2013 yielded 2.5 gallons of blackberries). Sit out in the shade, weather permitting. Walk the 11-circuit Chartres-style labyrinth mowed into the lawn. Fight over the hammock. Walk up to a scenic overlook of the New River about a mile away, if it is still open to the public then. A three-course cold luncheon for all is included. Arrive after 9:00 am, depart by 4:30 pm. Relax and decompress in between. Other possibilities (fees not included in this item) include a public pool a quarter mile away.
