Venison Five Ways or Not At All If Artemis and Woton and the other deities of the hunt (and my hunting friends) smile on me Thanksgiving week, this dinner will be a tasting menu of five venison delicacies. Exact menu to be determined, but possibilities include battered fried venison heart, sauteed venison liver, slow-cooked venison ribs, venison sausage, venison stew, roast venison, and just maybe, if the gods are extra kind, crown roast of venison. An appropriate side with most courses is included, as are bread, beverages, etc. If the gods do not smile on us, there will still be a dinner and you will still have a seat at it, but there's no telling what it will be. Are you willing to take a chance? 6 2 000020.0 20 .0002E7 20 12/7/14 5:00 PM

Tickets to Tiempro Libre at the Jeff Center The night will be hot. The dancing, fierce. The music, irresistible. The evening begins with two tickets (great fourth-row seats) to Tiempo Libre, the Grammy-nominated musicians who mix R&B, pop, jazz and even classical influences in a distinctly Cuban dish. After the show, stick around for the 12th Annual Latin Dance Party inside Fitzpatrick Hall. An unforgettable high-energy night of music and dancing! No Frills Football Party Jim Flowers and Johnny McCord dare up to 7 true football fans to sign up to enjoy a big screen, craft beer, pizza, and maybe even some chips while watching a game to be chosen early next fall. OK - some peanuts, too.

There will absolutely be NO hummus, NO celery sticks, and NO wine. But there DEFINITELY will be raucous cheering, groaning, fist bumps, and high fives.

Once the group is set, we'll survey everybody to pick a game that works for the whole gang - college or pro.

Authentic Austrian Dinner Learn German food names and pronunciations as you travel back in time with Brigitte, who was born in the charming little town of Steyr, Austria. Steyr, as it turns out, is very near Linz, so there may be a home-made Linzertorte in your future. Not to mention hand-crafted spätzle. And perhaps a tasty schnitzel or sauerbraten.

Dress: Dinner Casual - Dirndls and Lederhosen optional.

Warning: Even thinking about this very special ethnic fare may cause an outbreak of Edelweiss inside your head. Share at your own risk.

Cider Making Lesson with Homemade (and it looks it) Cider Press

On a date to be decided in October, 2015, join me for an afternoon (about 4 hours) of apple cider making. We will crush and press the apples (which I will provide), and stove-top pasteurize the juice. You take home the cider press and (the next day) two gallons of soft apple cider. (To use the press to make cider at home, you may need to purchase additional equipment. You will also need to use the jack from your car, or a similar device.) The press will also work for pear cider, peach cider, etc. If you want hard cider, I can show you how to do that too (but you can't take that equipment home), and you won't get your two gallons for a couple of weeks. 1 0 000050.0 50 .0002E7 20
