Jen & Scott’s Jersey Shore Excursion
Invalid Image LinkSold

Jen and Scott Kitchen both grew up “down the Shore.” What that means is they’re both from Ocean County and eager to show a couple of people a good time in a place which is near and dear to their memories, particularly in light of the damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy last October. To that end, they’re offering an all-expenses included day trip for 2 adults down the Shore to include at a minimum the following: transportation to and from your home; tolls down and back; a walk on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach (off season, so no sand in your shorts since we’re not going swimming); $10 in quarters each to spend at the arcades for pinball or video games, boardwalk games of chance, or whatever else floats your boat; casual lunch on the boardwalk and dinner at a fancier place nearby. Other activities (and a rain date, if necessary) to be determined by mutual agreement. Come enjoy the towns of our (misspent) youth with us. 1 0 000250.0 250 .001E7 100 9/28/13 12:10 AM

Meat Muffins You've heard of meat loaf, right? Well, we'd like to make you meat muffins! Think of them as meat loaf in a single-serving size. Scott and Jen Kitchen will prepare for you a dozen (12) meat muffins in two flavor combinations. The recipe has a 99% lean ground turkey base with egg whites and bread, but beyond that, the sky's the limit! The ones we've typically made for ourselves have been "regular" (Lipton's Onion Soup Mix and ketchup), BBQ (BBQ sauce and similar spices), Thanksgiving (sage, dried cranberries, and pureed butternut squash), Chili (chili spices and tomato paste), Italian (Italian spices and tomato paste), and more exotic flavors including harissa, ginger pepper jelly, and garlic. We'll even experiment if you let us! Hee hee hee! They freeze and reheat quite well, also. All you need to do is give us two weeks notice and an idea of what flavors you'd like, and we'll deliver tasty meat muffins to you at church or your Somerset County home. 1 0 000030.0 30 .0003E7 30

This unusual houseplant does not have leaves. It's entirely a vine-like stem, which grows up and around a trellis from the onion-like bulb. Eventually, a graceful profusion of greenery is produced. Amish Feast You don't need to drive all the way to Lancaster PA to get your Amish food fix. Raymond's father grew up in Amish Country, PA so Nancy learned how to prepare traditional Amish foods for him. Now she would like to prepare them for you and serve them to you in the Brungard's Bridgewater home! The menu is not yet set and will depend on the pallets and dietary requirements of the winners, but may include such favorites as chicken pot pie with homemade noodles, sauerbraten, cucumber cream salad, apple strudel and warm from the oven bread. Beer, wine and port are included. Note: Vegetarian diets can be easily accomodated, but Amish food does not lend itself well to vegan or gluten-free diets. 5 -1 000050.0 50 .00025E7 25 10/5/13 5:00 PM

Come join Ed Horch and Eileen Reilly-Horch on Saturday, May 4, 2013 to see the 1968 counterculture musical "Hair", at the State Theatre in New Brunswick. You and a friend will start the evening off with dinner at a mutually agreeable pick from New Brunswick's varied selection of restaurants, then proceed to the theater for the 8:00pm performance. We have four great seats (row N, seats 107-110 in the center), but alas, that means we can't add any extra people at the last minute. This outing is recommended for a mature audience. Two people; one bid. The Horches can provide transportation if desired. 1 0 000250.0 250 .0015E7 150 5/4/13 6:00 PM

So, here they are - ready for you to consume - TONIGHT!
Don't miss out, get in on the ground floor of cookie history!
