Transfigurations, Photography Book, Signed by the Author Jana Marcus Best GLBT Non-Fiction Book of 2012 by the Independent Publisher Book Awards. Known for her compassionate and revealing photographic images of underground subcultures, documentary photographer Jana Marcus brings to book format her award-winning work, Transfigurations, a startling and ground-breaking photographic series on the transgender community. Transfigurations explores transsexuals and their notions of masculinity and femininity as they change gender identities. Discovering that gender is both real and illusory, natural and constructed, Marcus s photographs shed light on the transformation from one sex/gender to another. The series also explores the importance of the body to gender identity as well as the effects of transformative practices on the body, creating a reality beyond ordinary experience. 1 1 000035.0 35 .0002E7 20

World Premiere of ANNIE! poster
Invalid Image LinkSold
Invalid Image Link
The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years, setting a record for the Alvin Theatre. Prior to its' Broadway launch ANNIE had its world premiere on August 10, 1976 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut. Kristen Vigard was the first actress to play the title role. However, the producers soon decided that Vigard's genuinely sweet interpretation was not tough enough for the street-smart orphan. After a week of performances, Vigard was replaced by Andrea McArdle, who played one of the other orphans, Pepper. Vigard went on to become McArdle's Broadway understudy.

This is a great piece for any collector!

FELIS Fitness: Three introductory lessons to change your life!

Flexibility, Energy, Life, Inspiration. and Strength; these are the attributes of a true wellness, and the goals of Stephen Crooks’ FELIS Fitness program.

In three informative, entertaining and motivating hour-long classes, Mr. Crooks will instruct and guide you towards a greater understanding of your own body and how it reacts to and benefits from the challenges of exercise.

Developed and fine-tuned for over twenty five years, these three FELIS Fitness lessons will focus on the foundation skills: breathing, stretching, warming-up, and the basic 'building-block' calisthenic techniques to improve muscle strength, stability, coordination and stamina.
But most importantly, these lessons will reinforce different methods of creatively combining and recombining those 'building blocks' into an endless array of stimulating, impactful routines. Result #1: the best possible preparation for whatever surprises, challenges and demands each new day has in store for you. Result #2: boredom will NEVER be an issue!

Welcome to your future. Welcome to FELIS Fitness.

The developer of the FELIS Fitness training method, Stephen Crooks is a Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. But more than just preparing students for race-winning, mud-runs and muscle-growth, Crooks stresses the importance of fitness training as a tool for building character, self-esteem, and a competitive edge in a challenging world, as well as developing stronger bonds with one’s family, friends and community.

Note: Before starting or changing your exercise routine or diet, always consult your medical physician.

BREW YOUR OWN CRAFT BEER.
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
Do you like craft beers?
Do you wonder how craft beers get made?
Would you like to brew your own craft beer?

What this is: Together we (you and I) will make a craft ale to your specifications (e.g. IPA, stout, Belgian dubbel, etc…) in my kitchen. I will advance purchase the ingredients and provide all the equipment required. It takes about 2 hours to make. 2 weeks later (after fermentation) I will bottle the beer in 12 oz bottles and you can pick them up. They’ll be ready to drink in about 2 weeks, and will improve with time up to about 4 months.

What you get: About 50 x 12oz bottles (approx 5 gallons) of delicious fresh ale. Plus, the priceless knowledge and experience of how it was made.

Note: Ale type beers are strongly recommended over lager types. About 85% of craft beers in the US are ale type as they are better suited to the brewing process.

2 weeks notice requested for scheduling and ingredient shopping.
