  • David Landau

David's Model electric train tour and Movie matinee Have you ever wanted to ride the Orient Express or drive a train that’s over 100 years old? You can do both, sort of. When you visit David Landau's antique model electric train collection you can run 19 trains and 5 trolleys (but not all at the same time) ranging from a 1916 model to one as new as 2019. Enjoy some wine & cheese as you learn a little history of electric model trains and enjoy sending them through caves, around a working drive-in movie, past a film studio backlot, through Area 51 and more as you do a "scavenger hunt." Then relax and watch the Alfred Hitchcock thriller "The Lady Vanishes" (which all takes place on a train) in David's cozy condo movie theater. Desserts from the places the Orient Express passes through will also be included (and popcorn!) See also MM12. 5 0 .00035E7 35 12/12/21 7:00 PM

Biscotti Tree

Sandra has been making this edible biscotti tree since the mid-seventies for her family. It became particularly relevant when Sandra married a Jewish man. In the true Judeo-Christian tradition, the tree reflects a Christian symbol; but as you pick off and eat the biscotti and look down the center of the tree, you see a Star of David. It is a great addition to your holiday dessert table, and biscotti will last at least a week – longer if you dunk it in coffee or tea. Sandra will deliver it to the Fellowship on December 23 or 24 or when the buyer wants it. 1 0 .00025E7 25

Come TAXI With Me
Invalid Image LinkInvalid Image Link
In previous years, Gabor has offered "Come Fly With Me." Some people may have been reluctant to actually go up in a small airplane, or let their kids go up, which he totally understands.

Therefore, this year, Gabor is offering "Come TAXI With Me" as well. Same plane, same airport, same dual controls so you can try it yourself. The big difference is that you and Gabor just taxi around the airport, and never leave the ground! Gabor's grandson Emerson (see photo) did it ...

Great for kids of all ages as well as cautious adults. Also, less trouble scheduling, because the weather would matter much less.

Come Fly With Me

Experience a flight in a small (Gabor does mean small!) two-seater Cessna 150 airplane. See your house, the Water Gap, the Fellowship, foliage, flowering trees, and more from approximately 2000–3000 feet. The plane has dual controls so you can get some hands-on experience, but let Gabor do the landing, please! Departure is from Somerset Airport in Bedminster.

Date TBD and of course subject to weather and the virus situation. But winners will get their flights EVENTUALLY ....
